GenVac MP2 - Vacuum Impregnator is designed for precision sample impregnation for porous materials. Common applications for vacuum impregnation systems include rocks and minerals, ceramics, electronic circuit boards and other composite materials. The GenVac Series - Vacuum Impregnation system includes a separate Vacuum pump and is easily controlled through the user friendly interface. Complete with a disposable sample cup holder, the GenVac Cold mounting press encompasses everything you need to achieve the absolute best sample impregnation.
The GenVac MP2 - Vacuum Impregnation System provides a clear viewing area during sample impregnation through the large 16cm diameter transparent lid. For ease of use, the transparent lid can be completely removed to expose the bed of the vacuum chamber. This allows for easy positioning and handling of your samples. The consumable inlet tube is incorporated into the lid of the chamber and allows you to easily fill the mounting cups within the chamber. With a clear view of your samples, you can be sure to fill the cups to the necessary levels avoiding any loss of impregnation material. Operated with only a few controls located on the front of the unit, the GenVac MP2 - Cold mounting press and vacuum impregnation system provides a complete solution to the impregnation of sensitive porous materials.
Parts and all consumables are readily available in stock and can be acquired directly from NextGen Material Testing by request. Also, we do not use proprietary parts, therefore additional parts can be sourced from local suppliers as needed many years down the road.
The MP series, although built with advanced technologies, is a simple plug-n-play machine which does not require formal training and installation. The supplied instructional videos do a fine job explaining how to set up and utilize the machine with ease.

With all of our products, we offer a lifetime support guarantee which ensures we are here for you to answer any and all questions that you may have for the lifetime of your metallographic cold mounting press.
Although the tubes are considered consumables, they are certainly reusable! The reason for this is that we include excellent quality high flow epoxy resin (curing at room temperature in about 24hrs) which helps prolong the lifespan of the tubes. Using a faster curing epoxy with a cold mounting press would make the resin solidify faster and thereby block the tube faster.
Included with your GenVac - vacuum impregnator system is our universal high flow epoxy resin with no heat release during curing time. The resin cures at room temperature in about 24 hours. It is suitable for most non thermostable specimens such as IC and plastics.

Absolutely! The standard configuration of all our metallography equipment - including the best MP2 metallographic vacuum impregnator - includes all required items to get started with your metallography sample preparations.
The cold mounting metallography press is designed to remove all trapped air from the mounting material and eliminates all gaps between the specimen and the resin. It is absolutely key when preparing samples of a porous nature. Mineralogical samples frequently have porosities, cavities and cracks that require epoxy mounting under a vacuum. The MP2 is an easy to use epoxy mounting vacuum impregnation system with an easy to use interface for all laboratory technicians.
Experience our enhanced version of the GenVac MP Series. Our user-friendly touch screen interface along with automatic unit conversion and memory modes holds the title of one of the most advanced systems in the marketplace.
Equipped with the same advanced features of the GenPress MFA series - fully automatic mounting press for metallographic sample preparation, the MFA-TS - automatic hot mounting press systems are easily controlled via a built in touch screen panel.
NextGen's MFA Series - Fully Automatic Mounting Presses for Metallographic Sample Preparation is an advanced automatic mounting press for compression mounting of material samples. The fully automatic mounting press system is controlled with a basic keypad where the parameters for heating, cooling and timing can all be adjusted.
The semi-automatic NextGen single cylinder MSA I and MSA II Mounting Press systems provide leading technology for best edge retention in a variety of mold sizes. Our NextGen MSA presses have an integrated hydraulic system to apply the necessary compression to form one to three samples at any given time.
