Flat Tensile Specimen Preparation Machines

A flat tensile specimen has to leave the machine with the right gauge width, square shoulders and an edge free of burrs and heat, because each of those shows up in the strength the test reports. NextGen supplies CNC mills that cut the dog-bone geometry to ASTM E8, ISO 6892-1 and DIN 50125, as well as notched blanks for impact work.

The range runs from a compact benchtop machine for a laboratory preparing a few specimens a day, through mid-size models for routine quality control, to larger machines built for continuous production. Programs for the common geometries arrive ready to run, machines are installed and commissioned by our engineers, and support continues for the life of the machine.
