Description
GenGrind SA Series - Semi Automatic Metallographic Polisher and Grinder incorporates our basic variable speed grinding wheels with a semi-automatic specimen moving head for complete control over your specimen preparation. The SA-I - Individual Control Semi-Automatic Polisher and Grinder systems are equipped with individual spring load control. This means that the pressure applied to each specimen individually and can be adjusted through the use of optional springs.
The SA Series - Semi Automatic Grinders and Polishers are available with a specimen plate for 3 specimens or 5 specimens in a variety of common sizes to ensure the quickest sample preparation. The specimen moving head is able to tilt upwards to clear your grinding wheel for manual use. With options of individual or dual wheel configurations, the SA polishing and grinding metallographic machines will fit all applications and requirements while remaining cost effective. A dual motor configuration provides a fixed speed of 60rpm in the specimen moving head and a variable speed on the grinding wheel. With the addition of a second platen, the motor count remains the same and the defined speed will run both platens simultaneously. Optional items include the addition of a micrometer, individual specimen load springs, a dual platensas well as a variety of dosing systems. The micrometer allows you to control the rate of material loss of your specimen. The additional platen (SA-I-D) allows you to quickly change the semi-automatic specimen mover from one platen to another for quick changes in your preparations. The dosing system allows you to incorporate consumables such as diamond suspensions to your sample preparation procedures.
Our semi-automatic grinder and polishers are available in 8" (200mm), 10" (250mm) and 12" (300mm) sizes to cover all sample sizes. For customers with a diverse range of applications, the SA Series - Semi Automatic Metallographic Polisher and Grinders meet all grinding and polishing requirements. The direction of the wheel can be changed from clockwise to counter clockwise and the speed is variable from 50-600rmp. The SA Series metallographic polisher and grinders are also equipped with a powerful brushless high quality motor as well as an anti-splash cover. The water flow pipe is easily adjustable for proper cooling and cleaning of your specimens.
