The NG-AutoPol system is equipped with a fully automated multi-grit polishing function that allows up to four sandpaper grades to be used sequentially in a single polishing cycle. This feature enables progressive surface refinement without manual intervention, ensuring consistent surface quality and repeatability across all specimens.

During operation, the system automatically transitions from coarse to fine grits based on the programmed sequence and polishing time set by the operator. Each sandpaper section makes controlled, single-contact passes over the specimen, preventing over-polishing and maintaining the correct surface geometry. The polishing force, linear speed, and contact length are precisely regulated for every stage to achieve an even and low-stress finish.

An integrated cleaning mechanism continuously removes debris from the sandpaper surface between grit changes, extending consumable life and maintaining optimal polishing efficiency.
