The downward speed of the actuator (piston) in the NG-SHM Class DP – Servo Hydraulic Testing Machine is designed to optimize testing efficiency and safety based on each model’s capacity. In the SHM605 model, the piston descends at 240 mm/min. The SHM106 model offers the fastest downward movement at 290 mm/min, which supports quick test preparation and cycle transitions. The SHM206 model, built for the highest force capacity, has a downward speed of 100 mm/min, providing controlled and secure positioning for heavy-duty specimens.

These speeds are carefully calibrated to balance speed and control. Fast downward motion in lower-capacity models supports greater test throughput, while the slower rate in the high-capacity SHM206 protects the specimen and machine components during adjustment. The controlled descent of the piston also helps maintain accurate alignment and positioning prior to loading, contributes to test repeatability and operator safety in a range of applications.
