NextGen selects batches of rubber every 3 to 4 months to manufacture. These single rubber reference test blocks cover all Shore methods. In this case, I understand our values are higher than the range of specimens you are testing with, but please keep in mind that these reference blocks are not used to verify that your specimen test results are accurate but rather that the Shore D durometer measurement head is giving you accurate results.
The blocks are calibrated and certified to provide you with a hardness value so that when you take a measurement with the Shore D Durometer and it gives you a result within tolerance, you will be assured that the test results on your specimens is accurate even when those values are in the range of 30-44 Shore D that you are expecting.
