Fixtures are matched to the specimen family: wedge or socket arrangements for rope and strand, pin and shackle arrangements for chain and slings, and threaded or shouldered holding for fasteners and rebar.
Because the specimen is often an assembly, the fixture has to hold the termination the customer supplies rather than a machined gauge section.
Our wider range of grips and fixtures shows the holding principles, though horizontal systems are usually fitted with application-specific tooling.
