Crosshead travel and test width on this floor-standing universal testing machine vary by capacity group and frame configuration. Our 50 to 300 kN models use a 600 mm test width, the 500 to 600 kN models use a 750 mm test width, and the 1000 kN model uses an 890 mm test width. Crosshead travel then changes based on whether you choose a single-space, dual-space, or extended-travel frame.

For 50 to 300 kN, available crosshead travel options are 1350, 1250, 1650, 1550, 1950, and 1850 mm. For 500 to 600 kN, the available travel options are 750, 650, 1050, and 950 mm. For 1000 kN, the available travel options are 500, 900, 800, and 600 mm. This is why capacity alone is not enough when sizing the frame for long specimens, larger fixtures, or specific tensile and compression setups.
